Slim pickings in the brutal cold... $2.02

This was the last hunt before the bitter cold chill factor temps sent this old man back into the house. I can handle the cold, but the winds get to me after awhile. Looking forward to a couple of weeks in Cape Coral after the new year. Beach detecting with Mama, and maybe do some shark tooth hunting as well.

Hey, you got enough spare change for a hot cuppa coffee -- free! Can't beat that!

Cheers,

Joe

Way to stick with it......it amazes me how often baseballs, softballs, golf balls and tennis balls are left on ball fields and nearby woods, only to be collected by us TH'ers....

Also, there was a time between detecting the beach, I would pick up lost beach stuff and assorted tools, shovels and toys that are discarded for my grandkids to play with. It is truly amazing what they leave behind. But after awhile, I was dragging around so much stuff, I just gave up collecting it! Now I concentrate on just collecting the gold and silver that people leave behind!!!:clapping:

It continues to amaze me what you can find just eyeballing. Looking for arrow/spear points at Thanksgiving my granddaughter stepped out of the truck, looked down, and spied a 1897 Indian in really nice shape. Coin that is!

We were at Hilton Head in June with the grandkids, and we would all take our surface finds beach stuff, and just pile it by the walkways for anyone to help themself to. Not eve gone that comes there has a lot of money, so if they lost something at the beach, this was an opportunity for them to reclaim it or get another one for free. Lots, and lots of kids stuff!
