Couple of Parks with Relics and Silver

Here's the results from two small public parks. One park used to be a stop on a trolley car line in the 1930s.

The Jacksonville, Florida weather was up in the 60s, can't complain a bit. Hey, you guys in the frozen north, don't worry -- you have the best stuff in the ground and the good days will be here soon.

The large round find is the top of a ladies' compact. The two bottle cap openers bring back the days when there were no 'twist-off' caps. When you lose your beer bottle opener, you're out of beer.

Finding a 20-gauge shell top and a .38 slug in a small public park makes you wonder how they got there.

The Wheat Cents are 1920, 1926, 1935, 1946, 1950D, and 1955D. The Winged Liberty (aka Mercury) dime is 1943.

The plastic chain and marble were eyeball finds on the surface. Plus $3.60 in zinc and clad coins put coffee in the cup and gas in the Ford.

It's about 7 hours of detecting with the Garrett GTI2500 and Teknetics Omega 8000. With this hobby ... every beep is an adventure.

Cheers,

Joe

Nice assortment of finds. I use the "Untapped" app on my phone to enter my beers. Funny you found a bottle opener.

Howdy Gamma_Joe--

Those are very nice finds. I particularly enjoy seeing your bottle openers - both of them are very colorful and in nice condition. You had an excellent hunt in my book : silver, older wheat cents, clad (for coffee and fuel) and some other neat finds. Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
