    Hi John, it's August 4

Well, I don't have an answer for you, however, Texas was hit pretty hard with covid. Perhaps there's a staffing issue. I know the hospital I work at is short staffed due to Covid, holidays and sick calls. I have already been tested 3 x for covid, thankfully all negative. Stay safe!

    More APEX Hunting..........

My APEX was pretty accurate for depth on coin size objects. The shallow reading one s were in the top 2-3 inches. As always, the readout is always an approximation, based on the size of the target and the mineralization of the surrounding matrix. The deeper ones were at 5+ inches. My deepest...

Got 4 Rings Today Water Detecting With The AT MAX

Headed out to a lake to do some self isolation this morning. I stayed in the deep water to stay away from most of the people. Got 4 rings, 4 coins and a magnet. Perhaps someone was magnet fishing? Who knows. Here are the rings. The one might be gold. I will probably have to test it. I...

Here Are Some VDI Numbers For Targets On The New Garrett APEX

Well, because the APEX easily picks up a dime, the quarter will be even easier. And, the VDI number will be a few digits higher. I purposely left it out to show a much broader variation of targets.

MAX Found A Couple Of Gold Rings Today!

Just a great day! The gold producing river is high, at about 7 feet too high, so I spent most of the day at a nearby swimming hole. I was surprised to get a couple of gold rings. I ran the MAX in coin mode in the shallow water with the Iron audio set to 35, at 7/8 bars disc. In the deeper...

Took The AT MAX Out For A Water Hunt And Got A Few Rings

The river through Edmonton was about 9 feet higher then normal. No prospecting for gold, however, silver is possible. Here's a short hunt video with my rings polished up. I ran the MAX in true all metal mode, 6/8 sensitivity with iron mode set at maximum.

A Gold And Silver Kind Of Day!

Lady luck was with me today. I met my buddy at t an old neighborhood, and we headed down to the river for some gold prospecting. When we returned, I noticed a younf feller cutting grass at this old boarded up house. Judging from the tree's size, it was "huge" so probably old. I asked him if we...
