    Potential Sovereign user questions.

    They are great machines. I own the XS and the GT. I should sell one but I haven't been able to convince myself to do it. I also own an Excalibur 800. As Rick says they hate iron. It's really pretty hard to describe them, they are just "different" from anything else I've ever used...

    Best bang for buck and it uses all the 700/900 Equinox coils. if you like lots of coil choices its the only way to go.

    Omega 8500 beachcombing

    I had an 8000 for a while and tried it on the wet beach once . It worked OK with the large DD coil. It was hitting coins fairly deep (mostly quarters) It you haven't tried a DD you might give it a try if you have one. But you'll never get the performance Like the SMF's get on the beach...

    I believe that silver butterfly ring is a James Avery. That's a high $ silver ring. Very popular in Texas.
