    Doubtful that the coils contribute any instability issues. The 600/800 have a 50 TDI scale while the XTP and the 700/900 have 119 TDI scaling. That expanded scaling is more than likely creating the appearance of instability vs the 600/800.

    fwcrawford nailed it. Go with his recommendation and you'll do well on AMI although many, like me, have been priced out of vacationing there. It was a great place to metal detect when it affordable.

    I've had my 800 since Feb. 2018. It's been completely submerged in salt and fresh water too many times to count and has never leaked. Works like a charm everywhere I've taken it.

    The Gorilla product I used is “Heavy Duty GorillaWeld 2-Part Adhesive”, not “Steel Bond Epoxy” if that helps.     I do not see “APTX LL” in the manufacturer's specs to indicate these ear buds are truly low latency. There is a response saying they are “low latency for watching TV”. Not the same in my opinion.
