    First silver of the year

No overload signal, it gave an iffy, questionable type audio response. I don’t remember if I looked at the VDI number or not at the time. I laid it out on the grass and checked it with the F70 a few minutes ago. It gives a staccato type audio response instead of a zip zip coin type audio...

    First silver of the year

I think an ounce of silver is 31 grams? The bracelet is 21 grams or about 2/3 of an ounce. The current price of silver is $74 an ounce, so i would think that the bracelet would be worth approx. 2/3 of $74 or $45-$50 for melt value. Sound about right?

    First silver of the year

I spent a couple of hours searching a sports field that I had been to a few times before. I was using the F70, running 15 disc, DE, 55 sensitivity 0 threshold, 4H tones. Got the coil (81/2 x 11) over an Italy 925 bracelet that is complete, not broken, it was down about 3 inches. A little bit...

    Back at it

I had to take about six weeks off to recuperate from open heart surgery. I needed an aortic valve replacement redo and they also gave me a pacemaker to boot. When I started feeling a little better I got out for some hunts. Got lucky with the two silver coins, no research or find a new area on...

    F75, badass

I’ve never used an F75, but I have a lot of hours behind the F70. It’s a fun detector and I’ve made some nice finds with it. I still remember all those posts from REVIER and MudPuppy, they both loved the F70. For those that have used both, what would I be missing by using the F70 instead of...

    Tracking down parts .??

I have CZ5, CZ7aPro. I haven’t used either for quite some time, I will check and see how they are. I have too many detectors, time to thin the herd.

First silver for 2025 is a chunky ring

Finds are from three separate hunts, all four rings found on third hunt, must of been ring day. The good one is marked MEXICO 925. Found at a high school sports field, gave a quarter signal on the vdi. I was using the F70 with the stock coil. One of the nickels is a 1940, missed the war...
