    Manticore vs Deus II

Impartiality is no longer in question.

Does the Nox leak from modifications

Steve , I would have to agree with you completely that the design of the NOX makes a leak from a shaft swap most unlikely. I suppose the removal of the shaft flex could apply additional torque to the anemic control pod which could make it distort but I doubt anyone would swing their detector...

Does the Nox leak from modifications

Remind you at all of a Ford Pinto? Cheaper to pay the lawsuits then recall the product!! The Go-Find was Minelab's Edsel .

Does the Nox leak from modifications

I'm a ML technology fanboy myself , swear by both an etrac and a CTX . I just think the company management is atrocious.

Does the Nox leak from modifications

I wish I had old parks to hunt as well but just more modern ones and an occasional old house or demo. I get out 4 or 5 times a week as did my buddy when the NOX came out. My first one failed the first week with a black dead spot in the screen. He used his first with no incidents for a couple of...

Does the Nox leak from modifications

I think it's interesting how many of the Minelab fanboys and supporters have been giving NM a ratio of ---- over the number of Legend updates/improvements and denying there any issues with the NOX until ML came out with their more expensive improved models. I think it's to NM's credit that they...

Does the Nox leak from modifications

I think they just leak which probably skews the numbers away from the ones that just break. My most frequent hunting buddy and I have had 4 and 2 broke without ever getting wet. Both were on warranty , he is still using his second but I sold my second so I don't know if it that one has broken...

New version NOX / Old version NOX

Minelab insiders are now admitting that the 700/900 are largely in existence to remedy leaking issues and poor quality of construction in the 600/800 models. Whether that will be the reality has yet to be shown as too few of either model has been tested in real life use. Stay tuned.

New IRS law effect metal detector sales ?

$600 is the accumulated total of ALL sales using a third party , not just things over $600. It wouldn't be hard to exceed $600 with paypal goods and services selling neck ties much less detecting equipment.

NOKTA MAKRO (LEGEND) GETTING SUED - PATENT INFRINGEMENT

The Legend is clearly the NOX beater as I have proven to the two 800 users I have recently hunted with but it's not a CTX beater , and I used a CTX prior to the Legend for 8 years. The real loss of any future CTX sales would be directly Minelab's fault for failing to ever reduce the MSRP on a...

New IRS law effect metal detector sales ?

In addition , if you lived in a municipality like mine , the State will pick up the untaxed sales and want you to pay sales tax , regardless of the profit or loss involved. $600 of accumulated sales will incur a sales tax of $40 to $50 and in order to pay that , you will have to get a business...

New IRS law effect metal detector sales ?

It's not an IRS law but part of the Inflation Reduction Act that the Resident put through Congress with the approval of all the Progressives Socialists. It forces all third partys like paypal that facilitate money transfers to report any amount over $600 to the IRS with a 1099k. Sending payment...

    Equinox 900 vs Legend

The only one bring up "lying" is you! Paychecks inspire bias , that's human nature , even Tom would admit that. His input is biased toward his type of detecting and the short comings of existing machines. The info he has released so far has been very enlightening and moved me away from buying a...

I own E-trac, 800, and Preoder Manticore. Feel screwed.

They had to get rid of the 600 and 800 gracefully and the 700 and 900 are their way of doing that. I felt I was screwed when I bought the first 800 I had to send back the first week and felt overjoyed when I was able to sell the replacement for what I had in it. The 700 and 900 are really just...

Who is going to buy an Equinox anymore

Minelab is run by bean counters and I think the cost of providing the warranty for the NOX 600 and 800 created the need for the 700 and 900. Sales of the 6 and 8 will crater and they will be out from under the warranty issues that those models carry. They can probably cease production and use...
