First time out with the F75 LTD2

Finnally got a chance to try out the new F75 LTD2 this morning at a large park with some age and of course it's share of iron and trash. I only lasted about 90 minutes until the city showed up to cut the grass so I packed it in. To say this machine is sensative is probably an understatment...

    A few F75 LTD2 questions

I recieved my F75 LTD2 yesturday and quickly put it together. I had already read the manual several times and checked out some YouTube videos. My Explorer has been put away into the closet so I'm not tempted to use it while I'm learning the F75. The manual is not too bad.....but not great...

From ML to F75 LTD DST

I'm a long time ML user and still am but the Explorer is just getting kinda heavy for long hunts. Also I have been hunting more iron infested homesteads lately and the Explorer just has a hard time keeping up because of the somewhat slow recovery speed. So I just ordered a new F75 LTD 2. I'm...

    SE and tiny silver.

For me many detectors have come and gone but my Explorer SE Pro is a keeper. I'd call it a comfortable friendship. To be honest other than going from auto to manual sensativity once in a while I haven't changed my settings in probably 4 years. Last week I hit a small but old park area with...

    Lake Erie goodies

A mid September water hunt in Lake Erie turned out to be well worth the effort. The beach and water was devoid of other people so I had the place to myself. A few cuts in the sand bottom were evident because of the fall storms that had passed throught. Besides the clad I managed 2 gold rings...

    ID NORM

One of the new features in V3 is ID NORM. "The Target ID value for a specific target will be consistent across the 4 operating frequencies when the ID Norm option is activated." Seems to me this is a good option and makes sense......how do otheres here feel about ID NORM ? Dave

    Help needed, no sound.

My new Deus arrived today so the first thing I did was charge everything to full charge. Then since the remote was V2 I did the upgrade to V3.1 as per the instruction. I get tones when using the remotes speaker but nothing from the WS5 headphones. Strange because during the upgrade the programe...

    New Deus to replace CTX

I've been a Minelab guy for quite some time, still am. But after about a year I find I still enjoy using my Explorer SE Pro more than my CTX. Guess I'm in love with the sweet flutie tones I get on deep silver with the SE. So no point in keeping the CTX when I prefer the SE. So what to do...

Thank you Felix and Fisher Labs.

I got my CZ21 back from Fisher Labs where Felix and the boys fixed it up back to better than new. Took if for a swim yesturday and it ran strong and quite in silent search mode. Recovered 3 rings so I was very happy. Dave

A little gold, silver, and tungsten.

A nice rainy morning in the water at the beach.....just the way I like it. I managed a few keepers during the 4 1/2 hr. hunt. My CZ21 just got back from Fisher Labs where Felix and his guys got it running perfect again. Back into the water again tomorrow. HH, Dave

    Ferrous-Coin or High Trash

Is it me or am I seeing a pattern here where people seem to be coming to the conclusion through real world hunting that High Trash target separation ID's rusty iron more accurately than Ferrous-Coin? Specificully that there is much less false target returns in the Co. 40 to 46 range. Dave

    CTX 11" coil getting better?

I've been reading a few comments here and there so it has got me to thinking. This question is for the people who for whatever reason have had their first run CTX standard 11" coil replaced by Minelab for a coil that would have been manufactured at a later date. Has anyone found from personal...

    Finds from this past weekend.

Things are fast coming to an end here in the north so I drove to SW Ont. to meet up with a friend to get a last weekend hunt in. Slowly getting the hang of the CTX and even managed to NOT grab the SE from the trunk:clap: Here are a few of my finds. 1870....my oldest little nickel so far...

    Uploading modes to the CTX...HELP

I've read the Exchange manual but for the life of me I can't seem to figger out how to upload my modes to my CTX. I made myself two custom modes then draged them to the CTX icon in the Exchange software but they don't upload to my CTX. What am I missing here?? Thanks, Dave

    E-Trac Manager having problems

I downloaded the E-Trac Manager and really like how you can create a pattern on your computer but I can't figure out how to transfer it to my E-Trac. I hit the upload button but nothing happens. Can someone please explain how it's done. Thanks, Dave

A cold few hunts to end the season.

Last week was my last few hunts of the season. I'm in Ontario and the temps were below freezing most of the time with light snow. My friend Treasure Hunter and myself hit a 1898 school and an old park over a few days. It was cold, wet, and muddy at times. 7 hours out swinging in below freezing...

    Does anyone else do this?

Am I nuts or what? I have several detectors but my SE is my main go to machine. I never leave home for a hunt without it. This spring I had to send it to Minelab for a repair and it was gone for about 6 weeks and I missed it a lot. So although I have other back-up machines I just ordered...
