    Bucketlister Not On List

    Never expected to find one of these in Missouri. We've found cavalry, artillery, general service, even a dragoon but never thought to have a naval button on the list.

    Pulled some utensil pieces, an organ reed, and some kind of cap my guesses are a cane cap or firearm grip cap.

    Poor Farm Find

    Found this button a where the county poor farm used to be 1865-1910. It is the size of a silver dollar and slightly concave. Just wondered if anyone has seen or dug something like this and possible age.

    Still dry as a bone but we managed to sniff out a piece of silverware dated 1912 and a Palmolive-Peet soap token today.

    Tried a new spot and found this Modern Woodsmen medal and a 1916 d wheat cent. We're going back.

    Smokin new site

    Was scouting a new site looking for rock, glass, pottery, etc. Found the homesite no coins yet but Rooster eyeballed the clay pipe and I dug a harmonica reed. Only there maybe an hour.

    Barber Farm has been planted

    They planted the Barber Farm so it's off limits until fall. We went to an even older site and found this item. It's about the size of a nickel and the back is smooth, doesn't appear to have had any attachments. Any ideas out there?

    Washington was at the Barber Farm today

    Got the 6th silver from the site today and the 1st that wasn't a Barber. It's in corn stubble now will probably be a bean field this fall, looking forward to that.

    Barber Farm gives up another.

    Went back today and Rooster pulled out a 1806 D Barber quarter. That brings the weeks silver total to $1.85 all Barbers.

    Barber Farm finds

    Back to the farm where Rooster found a 1898 O Barber Half last week. Today he found a 1895 O Barber half and a 1902 Barber Dime. I found the 1907 D Barber Half.

    1876 homesite gave up a 1898 Barber Half that has long eluded him.

    Button ID

    Found at school site dated back to 1800's. Waterbury Companies Inc. backmark. Uniform button size. Don't recognize the front.

    Went looking for the homesite and found the platt map was 1/4 mi off. Had to leave about 1hr after we found it, couldn't resist trying when it's 60⁰ in middle of January here.

    Old Dog Tax and Flat Buttons

    Dog tax tag from Kansas City MO, some nice flat buttons from homesite where Grasshopper found a 1854 Trime last week. We're 170 miles from KC makes the imagination kick in. Penny is a 1961, good luck is plastic eyeball find. For me a fine day.

    Found this and can't figure it out, penny for size comparison. Very heavy for the size. Any ideas appreciated.

    Last Hunt for 2021

    Had to get out for the last day of the year, nothing to brag about but did find three wheaties 1929,1941 and a 1946. Also a crusty Missouri tax token. Hope everyone has a fantastic New Year.
