    I hunted during the eclipse & didn't remember it was happening. I did notice it got dark & it cooled off. I just thought it got cloudy. These are eclipse relics lol.

    Friday Saturday and Sunday relic hunts

    I was able to do some after work relic hunting the last few days. Three different spots all Gettysburg campaign. Friday was Gardiner explosive bullets, yesterday was federal cavalry & today was Confederate infantry. It's been a productive few days of civil war relic hunting.

    I found a New York staff officer button today. Its in good shape. J didn't even hit this one. The bullets are from my last couple hunts.

    Cavalry relics

    Some cavalry relics I found the other day. They're from the Gettysburg retreat. Its a mixed bag of bullets. Spencer carbine, Burnside carbine, colt pistol, Confederate Gardners, three ringers & a little brass. The Yankee cavalry caught up to Lee & had at him for a bit.

    I found some explosive bullets one is a .54". Rare finds.

    I found the back half of a .54 cal Gardiner explosive bullet. Too bad it's not whole. The other 4 are .58 cal. It was a great day of relic hunting.

    I got lucky & found a field inbetween crops. Its been at least twenty years since I've hunted this area. Glad i did.

    I dusted off my G2

    I dusted off my G2 yesteday. I used a 13" Detech Ultimate coil. I used it directly under a high voltage power lines. It was a little sparky but I was able to run the sensitivity wide open at 100%. The area is old with lots of iron. We stumbled on to it looking for civil war relics. I think it...

    My last few hunts

    These are from my last few times out. The canister was in a field along a road we're hunting. We've found some for a mile stretch. I wouldn't have wanted to be around that place when they opened up with 12# cannons.

    I got a first on this hunt. I dug a sword scabard drag. The canteen mouth piece is a cool find also.

    I got out this past weekend and relic hunted. I found a couple cool to me things. The US base bullet is the third one I've found in 25 years of relic hunting. I have to work 7 days a week again so itll be a while til I can get at it again. HH

    I got out a few times aftet work this week..

    I found these relics after work this week. Can't wait til the weekend so i can get a proper hunt in. The group with the shot cleaner bullet is from my hometown Carlisle. The others are from the retreat from Gettysburg. Everything is Gettysburg campaign.

    Out again.

    I went to my new spot. Its a hour drive for me. Im working 7 days a week so its what i have to do. I got about an hour and half in tonight. This is the first time at this spot. I cant wait til i can properly hunt tjis area. Im hoping itll be good for years. Its Gettysburg campaign.
