    Red Clay

    I have a question. Which detector would you recommend for relic hunting in red clay? I was thinking about the Legend but have been told it struggles in the clay.

    PI Machine

    I know a guy looking for a good pi machine. I'm wondering if the sand shark would be good. I know he probably won't be going near water and lives in an area of East TN near the North Carolina and Virginia border.

    Am I crazy for liking for a good pulse induction kit to build? Also, would it be possible to take like an old analog detector and put a pulse induction guts into it? I figured that'd save me a little hassle. Would that be possible?

    I'm just wondering if anybody knows of a good pulse induction kit. Now, for the really crazy part, would it be possible to take an old detector, like an analog vlf, to make it a pi machine? Kinda like scavenging the body or something?

    PI Machine

    I'm wondering what a good, reasonably priced pi machine would be. I'm thinking either an infinium or Tesoro Sand Shark. What would be best for relics in East TN? Would I be best sticking with a vlf machine like a T2 or would one of these be a significant improvement?

    Ground ef:x

    Ok, I have a question on the Ground ef:x brand of detectors. They're from the makes of Wildgame Innovations cameras. They're also behind the Treasure Commander detector. I'm just wondering if it's normal for me to have a red flag on these things due to the lack of information.

    A quick question

    I've noticed that people refer to the iron indicator on the new Eurotek/Eurotek Pro. I'm wondering how this compares to the FeO2 indicator on the T2/T2 ltd. Are they the same, different things, or is one just a more in depth readout?

    I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything on the new Pro-Find pinpointer Minelab's coming out with. Last I heard it was supposed to be out in April.

    GTI 2500 vs other detectors

    I'm wondering how everyone would rank the GTI 2500 against a AT Pro and a Teknetics T2 for hunting in East Tennessee. Right now, those are the 3 I am really torn between. I mainly do relic hunting but might do a little jewelry and coin hunting from time to time. Thank you!

    T2 Update coming soon?

    Are there any rumors floating around about an update to the F75/T2 lineup? I've heard First Texas has been working on a multi-frequency detector but nothing concrete. Are there any plans on making them run with less chatter or anything else? Reason I'm asking, I'm thinking about getting a T2...

    coil mods

    Is it possible to modify the receiving coil in a search coil to make a detector more sensitive and better able to see deeper? I know most vlf detectors transmit deep but cannot receive deeper signals well.

    Has anyone used a V3i in East TN? I'm curious as to how it performs in the red clay as far as depth, accuracy and stability.
