    Couple of questions

Been a long while since I paid attention. I recall one firmware upgrade a long while back. How many have been published and is there a way to see what version is currently loaded on the machine. I looked on ML's site and cannot be sure...so wanted to ask. Also, if I was to run reset all, would...

    What primarily affects recommended sensitivity

Been a while since I've been on these forums. Running my CTX in our favorite site, the machine adjusts the recommended sensitivity low...~8-13. I'm trying to figure out if this is to mineralized ground, EMI, or what. Site is neighborhood home, plenty of power lines but typical for an old...

    Updates and 2nd hand machines...

I'm selling one of my Deus machines, have 2. An interested buyer has asked if he can still receive operating system updates if he is the second hand owner. Not wanting to assume anything, thought I'd ask this question to the forum. Any issues regarding updates and second hand owners? Thanks.

    Manual sens...

Anyone using manual sens on their hunts with success? I've got several targets I can only hear when sens is set to man 23 or higher, but in my environment, this sens setting is not realistic...to jumpy, etc. Auto runs quiet, but no target acquisition is achieved. Randy

    Silly question...

Will someone please take a close look at the CTX faceplate, specifically, to the right of the waypoint button, and see if you see a slightly raised area about the size of a dime or so? It looks to me the faceplate was put overtop a small bump in this area. Machine seems to work fine, just...

    Pinpoint behavior question

I love this machine. Absolutely. But... I don't understand pinpoint. I am detecting a target, coming in loud and clear on sweeps; I press the pinpoint button; I see the pinpoint mode with rectangle; I move over target and hear nothing; sometimes I hear nothing and and see the rectangle close...

Mode/patterns for relic open field recommendations

Hello, Somewhat new to the ET. Been using Andy's coin pattern for all my coin hunts. Also have a mode setup for TTF with a very limited discrim pattern. I was currious as to what you guys recommend for open pasture/field hunts with regards to patterns and audio settings. I'd like to setup a...

Setup recommendations for my next hunt...

I've put out a new post in the E-Trac classroom forum regarding subject matter. I'm new and was not sure where best to post such. So, mods, if this needs to be deleted/moved/etc, thanks for your understanding. Trying to get out early tomorrow before Irene comes calling. Plan is to hunt a new...

Setup recommendations for my next hunt...

Trying to get out early tomorrow before Irene comes calling. Plan is to hunt a new place never hunted before. Layout will be as follows: Old plantation house middle of field in field's highest elevation point. Field slopes gradually down to a small lake to the North. Field is rather tame...
