Anybody else having trouble with Xchange2?

For the last couple of days I have not been able to login and bring up the map with two separate computers, any ideas? I get “unexpected error an unexpected error has occurred close the application and try again”. Too bad that doesn’t do anything… Joe

My turn for a dumb question..

I have Minelab machines, this is my first XP, I know how to tell on the CTX when the ground is getting highly mineralized, and what to do about it when it does, but I have no clue on the Deus. I know it has a graph showing mineralization, but I don't know what to do if it's showing highly...

    Another outing...

Starting to get the tones figured out, shotgun shells sound good no matter what.

Took it out for another spin.

I think I need to get in good with the local scrap guy. Iron and can slaw, no coins.

    Day 2, same location.

Well its first coin was an unknown nickel, either a shield or a v, to toasty to be able to tell. Coins don't survive that site very well.

First day out with my shiny new machine.

My Deus 2 came in last week, I took it out for a spin today on an old home site from the 1840s. I definitely learned something, I pulled 5 38 Smith & Wesson empty shell casings out of an area I have beat to death with the CTX 3030, and all three coils. This is going to be interesting.

    Speaker replacement

After hearing and seeing all of the posts about poor quality screws and leaks Etc I decided to pull all the screws out of my detector and use divers silicone on all of the seals before a new season starts. Everything went fine until I got to the speaker cover on the back of the display, after...

Xchange2 file that holds the finds data?

Hi all, I have red through a bunch of Xchange2 posts, but can't find what I am looking for. I have a laptop that I used for all of my downloads from the CTX 3030. Unfortunately, the WIFI has recently given out on it and I can't sign in or see the finds plotted on Google Earth. I am wanting to...

    Thought I would share one.

I got this one last weekend on a horse pasture behind an occupied old plantation house I frequently hunt. It was only about 4.5" down, but completely on edge, it was a screamer. Running FC, A+2, ID'd as a 12-42. I am digging a lot less trash and covering a lot more ground since the CTX class...

    After the class...

My good to trash ratio has dramatically increased. Only found clad, but I found a handful of it, and only dug three trash targets. Oddly a two foot-long distributor wire, the end rang up like a nickel, a rusted one hole strap, and a piece of molten aluminum. Some of the pennies were...

    CTX 3030 Boot Camp

I went to Andy Sabisch's CTX 3030 boot camp this past Sunday in Knoxville, and I was very impressed! The class was informal, but very informative. In the first hour alone he had covered a lot of the mistakes that I have been making, both from my lack of knowledge about the machine, and from...

    Havent posted in a WHILE.

I have been looking for my first silver coin for 26 YEARS, I just found it earlier this month, a 1902 Barber dime, I was so happy I made a pendant out of it. Ironically I found it in the same front yard of the 1843 home site I have been hunting for 7 years now. I am calling it my $9000 dime...

    Saturday with the 17"

My fears of it not running stable were unfounded. It ran GREAT in A+2 in GH's program. It is a bit weighty, and for the first time I noticed myself switching arms on occasion. I am guessing there isn't anything out there where I hunt deeper than the usual 7", because I didn't find anything...

Went back to the old house Saturday

The weather here was too nice not to. I am LOVING the 6" coil, it really separates things under it. I didn't find anything overly special, but the interesting thing is I have GRIDDED 10'X10' this area before with the SE Pro and didn't find much, just a TON of small bits of iron, all of a sudden...

Anyone having luck with the 17" coil?

Mine came in Monday and of course I had to take it out to the back yard and give it a try in my coin garden. The garden is at least 5 years old, with P, N, D, & Q's buried in 2" increments from 2" to 12". I was able to pick up NADA!!! I am using the GH program, with sensitivity set to A, I...

Saturdays hunt at the old house..

I used the 6" coil exclusively and I have to say, I really like it. Great separation! I still dug too much large iron from 10" down but got some interesting targets too. Among the junk was a hand full of square nails, a flattened copper cylinder about 4" X 2", some type of triangular piece of...

    The new Xchange 2 upgrade

Has anyone done it with find data on your computer? I have been hunting an 1849 home site for a month now with the CTX 3030 and have a LOT of find points, geo hunts, etc. and can't afford to loose the data. I have way too much to transfer back to the detector for "safekeeping", does anyone know...

    iPhone App.

I just noticed that Minelab just updated the "Minelab Treasure Tracker" app to include the manual for the CTX 3030. I used this app a lot with the SE Pro for its GPS capability. I don't use it nearly as often now since the CTX 3030 has built in GPS, but it will be real nice to have the manual...

More junk from the 1849 home

Hey all, I went out to the still lived in 1849 home site today to see if I could turn up some luck (or my first silver ever) no luck, and no silver. I have been hitting that place for the last 4 years with a Garrett 1350, an Explorer SE, an Explorer SE Pro, an Excalibur 2, and now the CTX 3030...

    Went out Saturday again..

Still hitting the 1849 house in Mississippi, four years now, and still haven't found any coins older than the 1919 Wheetie I found last week... in fact I think the total for that place is 6 coins total. I am dying for my first silver, but all I seem to find is nails, hose nozzle parts, more...
