    Gaudy copper ring

    I found this ring yesterday in the curb strip but didn’t include it because it looked like a cheap copper ring. After a good scrubbing it is stamped S925, yet seems to be copper coated. Anyone encounter this? Is it sterling?

    It seems when I hunt various areas I find dimes mostly read 89, but range from 88-90. Then copper cents slip in there at 90-92 sometimes.
