    Didn’t even know there was another update. Been too hot with 100+ degrees for 4 months straight and still no relief yet. At this rate maybe hopefully by December it will get to a comfortable 80 degrees. How is the new update, any issues, and is it worth it if not planning to use the extreme hunter?

    I have the 240 and it’s plenty good to store and carry around. I believe the 280 is more if you plan to travel by plane and need to check in or pack your lunch and dinner as well

Neither one is great at being “waterproof “ At least the Xterra pro is proven so far to be water tight If you are exclusively doing beach hunting i would recommend a waterproof detector as you never know if you decide to use it in or near the water...

    I have a carbon fiber lower that has a hole in it to run the wire inside the rod I have read others saying they figured out a way to run it inside which is always best

    I totally agree, my point was mot concerning depth rather being able to “see” it vs not a target at the same depth changing the frequency especially in mild soil I don’t suppose is suddenly going to change the depth by inches on a coin but depending on the composition and other variables...

    Underwater antenna

    Just a idea, would get something like a detect-ed carbon lower shaft where you can run the antenna inside the shaft to keep it secure. The carbon fiber will also keep it stiffer swinging it under water
