A word about religion.......

In my opinion, many of the most evil things ever done in the history of the world were done in the name of "religion" Christ was crucified by religious people. In more modern times Hitler used religion to justify what he did. The radical MURDERING Muslims are very "religious" people. Everyone.......including atheists are practicing some form of "religion". I am a follower of Jesus Christ and am not ashamed to say so. I am a miserable failure saved by his grace....and try to live my life by his teachings. I try to live my life by the example he set....with help from the Holy spirit.....knowing I will never be equal or even close to the example he set. I do not place my faith in any man....even a good man is prone to failure. Instead I place my faith in him. That being said, at the risk of sounding judgemental... What kind of"religion" are these people who are looting, burning, murdering, and trying to destroy everything good and decent practicing ? In a nation that gives them the constitutional right to believe or not believe in anything they want as long as they don't violate the rights of others. Try to loot burn or take down the government in China, Russia, or nearly any other country and see how far you get. I believe it is in the book of James in the Bible ( And I am paraphrasing) It says - "You will know what kind of tree you have by the fruit it produces. If it produces no fruit or bad fruit....cut it down and burn it." What kind of fruit are these extreme leftists producing?

I supposed the Spanish used the religious order via the Inquisition as an "excuse" to do some of the things they did, or perhaps to justify what they did. I don't know where that theory works regarding the actions of Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, and many others you or I could come up with.

That being said, I don't think the religion in itself is responsible, because in just about every case you mentioned, the people who did the bad things clearly ignored the tenets of the religion. I think the sad truth is that people use all kinds of things to justify the evil they do, and religion is one of the most convenient ones, has many devoted followers, and is wide, wide open to interpretation.

The socialists turdletts currently tearing down the country don't have any spirituality or faith in their heart--they have an ideology, and it's an Anti-American one, thus they hate all things American.

That's it.

In their mind, just about everything that happened under the American Flag, from its creation all the way to today, is evil.

You know what's ironic? I fully support the right of the Confederate States to secede from the Union, the same way the colonies seceded from England. My state, along with Virginia, North Carolina, and Arkansas voted twice on secession--first time against it, and the second time for it; they changed their minds to fight off invasion...…...

All that being said, I love America, far, far more than any of those Marxist cretins currently burning our country down, and FAR more than the ones who post here. :drinking:

As far as your last statement goes about cutting down the bad tree and burning it, well......those people are essentially children whose minds have been so brainwashed that they no longer have the ability to think for themselves. Who knows what kind of fruit they will bear?

I will guarantee you this: the terrorists within our society didn't learn this crap from their parents, they learned it from college, and/or groups like blm. I have a niece who has a boyfriend, both with Ph.Ds, and that's where they got it.

Indoctrinated, just like the Hitler Youth.

Yep, the majority of these animals who burn, loot, and murder, have never set foot in a church or synagogue. I would bet that 9 out of 10 have never heard of the most basic laws of the 10 commandments! Without God's laws, which is the very foundation of most federal, state, and local laws, these lawless acts will continue and worsen. Sadly, I haven't heard any condemnation from the Republican members of the house and Senate. I believe the looting and destroying will escalate as we approach November, unless Trump puts a stop to this nonsense. If he doesn't do it, then no one will. Our "leaders" are spineless it seems.

absolutely Dan "religion" is the worst thing that ever happen to Christianity!
You can be religious about any ideology or practice,ie. you can be religious about taking out the trash every morning. So religon attaches itself to man made ideas and dogmas under whatever name or banner you want to apply.
True Christianity is a one one relationship with Jesus Christ. Without that there is no hope.
Hope to see you in eternity, my brother in Christ!

The way I see it, interpretation of the good Book. .. then acting on the incorrect interpretation, is what screws things up.
IMO, much of the Bible has been misinterpreted. Like "Whisper down the Lane" the game we played as kids. Early on, the Bible stories were not written down. .. it was word of mouth for many many years. Then Leaders and kings rewrote it to suit themselves to control the people. To get the most accurate meaning of It, the earliest writings in existence, have to be understood and made clear. That in itself is a feat. Translating words and meanings from people who lived long ago. One little letter can change the whole meaning. I do think we have the meat of it though, the Ten Commandments.
