Got a ring this morning

Ray in WA

New member
I detected an older easement this morning and came away with this ring. At first I thought FINALLY I've found a 14k ring, but after giving it a quick inspection I couldn't find the 14k mark. I also had my suspicions because the value on the screen read +21 after I waved the ring over the coil. Got it home and brushed it off with some water and sure enough, no 14k mark. It could be plated, but no mark indicates that it is. The green emerald-like stone has a chip in it, and the diamond like stones are a dingy yellow. So I'm thinking this was just a costume jewlery ring made to look expensive. In some parts the goldish plating has worn down. Oh well, it was fun digging it up.

Ray I just like finding things. Nice find Ray. I know the next find will be that big sparkler.:clapping: Oh I found my first Susan B dollar for the year today. Kind of thinking of 4000 coins this summer. I have a real good start. Hit #450 coins for a total of $30.41.
Thanks for reading ....Z
