Gun part # 2 picture

Dave, Here's the 2nd picture of the relic to ID.
Thanks,
Scott Morrell

At first I thought it might be part of a CS bayonet adapter, but now after seeing both pics I don't think so. It's a very interesting piece, but I do not recognize it. Maybe John C can ID or Dave. I'd be tickled to find it, cause ANY brass from a CS site carries weight with me. Give it some time, I imagine we'll get to the bottom of its ID. Nice find, David

How you making out with the Ozi program??? Looks like you are adding to the waypoints you need to download

Scott: Remove the top from your scanner and take a piece of paper and fold it lengthwise and place so that it rests a little above your Whatis. This should help with even illumination also put a scale in the picture like a piece of a plastic ruler. Are there any screw holes in it?
Lastly if you are using the Ozi program (which I read from Mike's note)You can get your base maps real easy using USAPhotoMaps which does a better job at getting the air photos from TerraServer.
Please post your scan again.

Sorry Dave, but I don't have a scanner. I've taken more photos with a rule for size comparison. I hope these will be of help.

Scott: Thanks for taking the time to make new pictures. Wish I could help but I never seen anthing like that. Maybe someone looking at your new pictures can identify it. I would not be surprised if it was not a rifle part. Be sure to keep it as the answer will always show up.
