Last silver for the year

Got out couple last times 12/23, 1/1. Had some good weather for Dec. 48 degrees. I knew I had to get out to hunt. Went to the campus I work at.Spent about 3 hours. Did OK. Found about 70 clad coins and couple silvers, a 1942 washington, and 1945 Merk, and 1951 rosie. All were about 6 inchs deep.Been cutting grass over top of these coins for 15 years. Now alls frozen up 6 degrees this morning. What a difference a few days make.Glad I got out when I did.Might not get to dig for a while. Keep the stories coming they help me get through the winter.

Isn't that amazing, been mowing over them for fifteen years  I had never thought of that but I am sure a campus would be a great place to hunt. Lets see,,, who do I know at Radford University or Virginia Tech? Humm

I was thinking along the same lines. Got a small college nearby. Maybe I can offer my services to assist with lost & found for jewelry with campus police. In return, seek permission to hunt while school is on break. Sounds like a plan.

Been hunting the campus where I work for 3 years now.Been the only detector here in 100 + years.Talk about treasure..found well over 3500 coins so far.10+ rings Few braclets.4 silvers so far but I know there's more.I don't think change means much to the kids now a days.Seems like it's all over the campus.Hunt here every chance I get.Good idea to get permission to hunt your local campus'.You won't be sorry.Winter's slowed me down here but when the weather is right I'll be out there.Don't forget to hunt the ends of the parking lots where they push the snow. lots of coins there.
