Question ref QUATTRO with GRAY GHOST Headphones

Hello,

Purchased a pair of Gray Ghost headphones this past weekend. They seem to have good tones, etc. with the QUATTRO but the volume seems to be LOW. I have to run the QUATTRO volume and headphone volume "wide-open" to get the level that I am used to hearing with my old Heil phones. This may be "normal", but thought I would ask other users opinions......
Thanks for any/all replies....

I have the Gray Ghost Originals and I find what you say to be true as well. I have the Black Widows too and I used those with my Quattro and now with the Explorer II and prefer them to the Gray Ghost Originals. The Gray Ghost Originals are super with my CZ-70 though.

The Volume on the Quattro and the Explorer seems to be a little weak to some compared to other detectors. I use the Timberwolfs on my Sovereign and find they are the loudest I have found, but on the Quattro and the Explorer they seem a little weak too as I believe the Quattro and the Explorer has volume limiters in them as the limiters on the headphone dont seem to work. Being my hearing is real bad I use a amp I got from Doc that will increase my volume so most any top quality headphones will work.
