Major life changes for the wife and I. We have been planning to travel full time in our retirement years. I am retired, and my wife is eligible, but she had decided to continue working, mainly for the health insurance. I have been coaxing her to go ahead and retire, and we would find some form of affordable insurance. Over the past couple of years, she has insisted that she needed to continue working. A woman's perspective upon retirement financial wealth is different from most men's, in my opinion. How much money is enough? Probably, different answers from everyone you would ask. Anyway, with the world turning itself upside down with the riots, looting, lawlessness, and constant tax increases to provide theses idiots a free existence, she has changed her mind. The carnage that has ensued from the so called BLM movement, was the straw that broke the camel's back. She gave the "Green Light" upon our plans, so there is a flurry of activity going on around here in preparation for our Exodus. We, like the ancient Israelites, will exile ourselves from this part of the country. Too close to the cities for comfort, and believe the instability will transgress into the immediate rural areas where we call home. We had 2 auctioneers out this weekend taking pictures and writing down descriptions for all our possessions. Will list and sell the homestead after the auction. Really looking forward to the very near future, as my wife will finally be able to relax and enjoy some of God's creations. Planning on becoming professional "Snowbirds", down south in Arizona, Mississippi, Florida in the winter months. Then, coming back north in the summer months, to visit with Grandchildren.

Congrats to the both of you Bulletman. You going to jump in an RV and the Nation ?? I thought about that a few years ago ,, then helping my kid put a stop to that. But as long as I'm living,, I'll be here for here ,, I'm the only one she really has. If that's your plan ,, start a photo album and share the journey. :giggle:

I'm happy you reached a decision but sorry that the leftist tearing down of America had an influence on it. If you ever get over near the Great Smoky Mtns National Park, let me know, and I'll give you the grand tour of Cades' Cove, Tremont, Abram's Falls, and...……...the Casino in Cherokee, NC.

Hope you'll still see fit to visit here and tell us what's up in SnowBird country... I'm about to do the same...

I went to Stockton Lake to visit my camper just last weekend.

Will probably have more time to visit Finds. Gotta figure out how to get internet in the RV. Researching hotspot devices that others use. Technology is just about above my paygrade and ever-changing.
