Found in rocks off the isle of cumbrae very old took a while to knock the sealife from it not sure what metal it is though its silver in colour any info ?

Huge find! I agree with Gunnar...that hinge section at the base looks like something more modern than what the Vikings would carry, plus, it looks cast aluminum, and they were all Pagans right?:shrug:

File a bit of the crustacean off and get a read on the base metal...
