etrac to explorer se or xs

I know this has been asked before but of the people thats used both, how do they compare?(had to get some money and selling my etrac and now my wife tells me she can get out some money. i like etrac alot. ) interested in explorer se and xs how do good are they compared to etrac? thanks Craig

CRAIG , I HAVE BOTH, THEY ARE BOTH GREAT MACHINES.AFTER HAVING THE EXPLORER SE, THE ETRAC WAS EASY TO LEARN. TO ME THE PIN POINT ON THE ETRAC MAYBE A LITTLE BETTER . I WAS PLANNING ON USING THE EXPLORER SE AS THE BACKUP. NOW I JUST TAKE TURNS THE ETRAC ONE DAY THE EXPLORER THE NEXT . ONCE YOU LEARN TO RUN THEM BOTH ,I DON"T SEE WHERE ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER

I have friends that use the XS it doesnt have all the bell that the SE has, but its a strong machine. The only problem is ML's policy to NOT repair them soon.

Lets put it his way naturally Minelab is always trying to improve their units and after the original 99 XS which had plastic and audio problems the 2000 came out with little or no problems right thru the 11, SE and E-trac. which naturally had little improvements along the way but many 2000 XS models are still going strong and producing for those that have learned them well. Talking to Minelab of course XS parts may be harder to come by but if they have the parts they will fix if indeed they go down was the answer I received..
