The below post with the obama cartoon got me to thinking about the way the world is rapidly heading and how the daily news reports relate to clear scripture.
Now before everybody starts yelling about the mistake of mankind trying set dates and times, let me say I am not doing that. I am only putting this out there to think about!
In the late 900's to 1000 BC there was a highly respected Jewish Rabbi by the name of Ben Samuel's that was regarded as a top student of and teacher of the old testament.
He wrote down three predictions, sealed them in a scroll and gave instructions to His students not to open them until after his death.
His three items were all based on the time measurement of jubilee years{ every 50 years being the jubilee year }
When the scroll was opened item #1 said "From the time that the Ottoman/Turkish empire takes control of the city of Jerusalem until it is taken away from them it will be 8 jubilees" or 400 years.
It is interesting to note that at the time He wrote this, the Ottoman/Turkish empire did not exist.!
In 1517 (1500+ years after His death) the Ottoman/Turks did conquer the city of Jerusalem.!
In 1917 General Allensby of the British army rode into Jerusalem and the Turks surrendered without firing a shot. 400 years ( 8 Jubilees ) to the hour and the day.
Item #2 " from the time of the fall of Jerusalem until the children of Israel again control the city, will be 1 jubilee (50 years ).
After the British took control of what they referred to as "Palestine", Jerusalem remained a divided city and was under the British mandate.
Even after the nation of Israel became a "nation in one day" in May of 1948 the Jewish people still did not have complete control of the city of Jerusalem and it remained a divided city.
Comes the 6 day war of 1967, when 6 Arab nations attacked Israel to wipe it of the face of the earth. On the fifth day, Jewish soldiers entered and took control of the old city, including the wailing wall
and the temple mount, 1917 to 1967, 50 years or 1 jubilee!
Son far our boy Ben is two for two, not bad in the prophecy game!
#3 "From the time that the Jewish people regain control of the city of Jerusalem, it will be 1 more Jubilee (50 years) until Christ returns! Math says that is 2017!! It is an exciting time to be alive!!
