My take on the Deus1.

The main issue with the XP's Is the batteries issue they discharge just setting there the lights flashes all the tine So you have to remember to top them off before you go detecting
I never had that battery issue with my ORX, Deus1 or Deus2.-----You need to talk to the XP service center---you may have a bad battery.

Batteries drain on their own at one rate or another. A tiny led uses almost no electricity. Do you have to charge yours all the time before you use it or do you even have one?

Many’s the time when I didn’t top up mybatterys and found them flatter than I thought in the field.and short time tecting

I've done that with many different brands of detector. I will say it is a pretty good idea to check any detector before going out. That's another reason I prefer AA and 9V batteries, I always have spares nearby. I will also say that I have ran out of juice more times with other detectors than with my Deus. Is that an issue with them all or a personal problem?

The Xp Deus 1 batteries are easy to change in the remote control and also easy to change in the headphones. Coil Batteries are best replaced by a service centre , a dealer told me many users destroy the coil when trying
a coil battery replacement. He has seen lots of sliced up coils caused by unskilled attempts.
