teknetics 4 inch ultra coil

Has anyone used the teknetics 4 inch ultra coil? I have used it about 4 time in heavy iron infested sites and it works great for me. I would like to hear what others think about this coil.

What detector model is that made for ??? must admit i have never heard of a 4'' coil before, was that for one of the old Teknetics machines or is that a new coil coming out ???

It comes with this Teknetics model at Cabela's. That's the only place I know of where it's sold...

@HighPlainsHunter,many thanks for clarifying the coil, never even heard of Cabelas you can tell i am from across the pond  :ukflag:

You learn something new everyday

I'll have one next week along with the TreasureTek Elite. Only available through cabela's and I'm interested to see if it's a true "greek" coil or not. Treasuretek has push in connector, correct?

It has a push on connector and the treasuretek elite is a eurotek pro as far as I can see. I am very impressted with the depth of the 4" coil

ok, it most definitely is a true "greek" coil then. Eurotek Pro has screw on connector. I plan to share coils with a digitek so no worry there. Hope they offer the coil for customers/dealers as an greek accessory at some point. I like small concentrics in trash over the 5" dd.

This little coil is great! They need to make/market one for Greek series. I've used the 4 on bounty hunters but it's hot on the 7.69khz platform. Still get 7-8" air test on coins. :) should be top jnotch in iron with the fast euro

I am a bit confused, I though First Texas stopped doing push connects completely. I guess I just assumed...

Nope the following are "greek" push detectors

Bounty hunter pros
Bh platinum
Eurotek
Digitek
Treasuretek
Treasuretek elite

All are units that are not on my watch list. Interesting choice on First Texas part.
Thanks, Craig.

In 1 or 2 tone omega 8000 8 for 8 on nailboard test with it!

3 tone air test

50 sens

Sq 9"
SD 8"

98 sens
Sq 10"
SD 9"

Bounty Hunter coil revamped?

It's the 4coil build but tuned for greeks. Note teknetics doesn't even realize they make it or claim it's the same as 4coil. I assure you its not. Too bad cause if they can figure out their own products they could put a screw on connector on it and market for greeks. Far better than 5"dd in my relatively non-mineralized soil.

This the exact coil I have been asking them to make for a few years. I love it on my legacy Bounty Hunter machines. I wish they would offer it to everyone for the Greek units.

Craig.....anymore news on the Ultra 4 coil?

Same as this. I've used it a bit and it's better than the 5"DD IMO. One thing I thought it might enable is closer to metal poles but it doesn't. Greek platform is too hot I guess. About the same at the 5"DD on that attribute. But I feel it plucks round coins out of trash better than the 5"dd but has the same great depth. I can get a tick on 6-7" buried coins with the Treasuretek Elite (Eurotek Pro) and 4" coil.

All the Teknetics you listed are not Greeks so I'm guessing these Teknetics are nothing but bounty hunters with the 4" bounty hunter coil.
I actually use one on my alpha 2000 push in connector and it works somewhat. 4" max but I have a spot that 4" is deep but has more junk than soil so depth is not an issue. Yes I would love a true Greek 4" coil for my gamma 6000 to hunt that site.

I stand corrected,Dave Johnson"woof" on Nov.4 2014 on Treasurenet in response to" new Bounty Hunter are Teknetics " that they are built on the same platforms.
