    Near cemetery finds

Hello, I went out for 3 hours yesterday to a cemetery, and detected along a road, on the outside of the cemetery, under a very old pine tree, and found these relics. The moon crescent pin I thought was interesting. It has on the inside of the outline, what look like either cloves or German...

    Cemetery finds

Hello, went out yesterday for 3 hours and found these relics on a small dirt road leading upward toward an old site, along side a cemetery. The moon crescent is a pin, the others are hinges, buttons and I think something that looks from a fountain tip pen. Correct me if I'm wrong! All these...

    Martini Henry bullets?

:smile:Hello, here's a photo of some of the bullets I've been finding where I also got those bullets casings in an earlier post. I'm assuming that the bullets fit the casings. The bullets measure 3.2cm in length by 1cm width.

Hello all, I went out detecting a couple of days ago and found this commemorative pendant, the hand made heart shaped thingy which appears to be made of brass, not quite sure, the lens piece of what I think was a telescopic instrument, an old lock and a decorative hinge. All were found on one...

    Coins cleaned with WD40.

Hello all, these are some of the old coins I've found detecting. All were cleaned with WD40. Even though some of the copper pennies are fairly corroded from a long time in the dirt, they come up very clean, with the details of the coins showing through. I had to use a flash on my camera so the...

    Old button and trinket

Hello all, I found these three relics detecting an old 1800's site. The enamelled trinkets could be part of a bracelet. The button has a hunting dog on it. Also found my oldest silver coin to date, very worn: an 1818 King George 3rd shilling. HH Angela

    Old trinkets

Hello, I went detecting a few days ago on an old 1800's site, and found these two enamelled trinkets, possibly parts of a braclelet. I'm wondering if the pictures represent anything? Or is it just decorative? Any info would be helpful. Thankyou. Angela

    Bullets

Hello, these are some of the bullets I've found detecting around the site of an old rifle range. I believe these are Martini Henry bullets, dated about the 1890's. They're usually not very deep, about 4 to 5 inches or so. Angela:detecting::smile:
