    SE for nuggets?

I need to buy a new metal detector. My current interest is nugget shooting. Havent done it for long, and I suspect its not going to last (considering fuel costs and the desert environment). I'm thinking I should get and SE, try to find bigger nuggets and then use it for coin shooting later on...

    Tuning the GQ....

I got a few emails about my GQ blog. Since it seems to help, I updated it. The GQ is so much fun to use, when tuned properly (unless your lucky enough to hunt in white sand beaches, then it doesnt matter). Here is the link again. Happy New Year! /bing http://goldquestdetectorguide.blogspot.com/

    Tuning the Goldquest SS V1.0....

I dont know if this is the right way to tune the GQ SS v1.0, but it seems to be working real well since I chanced upon this procedure. I live in SoCal BTW. If your GQ is too noisy on the swing, try this little trick. First, ofcourse, speed up the SAT 1/16th to 1/8 turn at a time. If you max...

Hello people! I have started to hunt the beach again and this is my second time out this summer. This year has had a fantastic beggining. Woke up 3:43am Wednesday. I had not hunted more than thrice this year, having been preoccupied with other things. Last night I thought, this was as good a day as any to start detecting again. In the last week, the weather has been scorching in L.A. and cali girls must be going to the beach in...
