    which coil for 5500 /D series 3

    I bought a 500D series 3 detector from e-bay. It is the black box with red and yellow guage. It also has a curved shaft with a twist lock system. What year was this made. The mounting holes and screw are 5/16". It came with a 10" #97386 coil that works but was drilled out to fit. Also a 9.5"...
