    What does your gold resemble?

    Dinosaur head Dug up from a grassy area that dates back to 1860. Found using Deus2 6 inches deep under some roots.

    T2+ overload

    My T2 overloads in some areas of the river I hunt. It may be overloading due to the blacksand or minerals in the ground. I had the coil replaced by Teknetics still overloads. Works great for demos and tot lots, dug up a fortune in gold jewelry in tot lots. Been using a T2 for 16 years.

    What are your best tips for the T2?

    Use 2+ tones. I’ve used this tone for 16 years, never cared to use the others. Keep the T2 in the trunk of your car.

    Why so many people dumping the Deus 2

    Basically paying for a waterproof machine with blacksand/salt capabilities on the D2. The updates are a pain.

    Love the pitch tone in relic program. I use pitch with square audio in beach and park programs and done well. I run it like my T2 in 2 tones.

    No beach where I live. Tot-lots are the way to go. Sometimes they can be pretty trashy.

    Don’t know how to eliminate the issue but I would not dig if you’re not getting a target ID. If it sounds deep and no target ID I may dig it up.

    Try a beach program. Your river may have some blacksand. The freshwater river and lake I hunt has some heavy blacksand.

    I would try one of the Beach programs. Beach P is what I use for parks and what I would use for the beach when I get the chance.

    Anyone using Deus 2 in full tones?

    Didn’t like the FT on the D2 version 6. Rather use 4 tones or beach P in square pitch. I’ve heard FT not the same after updates.

    Wading with Deus II

    You may need the wire antenna. I’ve seen a D2 user dunk his coil a little more than a foot without the antenna he had no signal.
