    silver and gold

    My local school that I have hit hard the last couple of years is still giving. I found my first large cent, my first gold(10k ring), a 10k G.F. and sterling ring,1958D rosie, and $4.30 in clad. I thought I was digging a Quarter at 85-90 rang up, but it was the large cent

    1st silver half

    Went to an old farm house today and found a couple wheats,clad and to my suprise I pulled out my very first silver half 1950 Ben Franklin. I also found 3 mercs, 7 wheats ,IH's ,Buffs, and my first V nickel there last weekend. Sorry bad pic quality

    A few finds today

    Hunted a store built in mid 1800s( still open today). It was loaded with iron signals (every swing), especially nails. I did end up having a good day.

    1 little indian

    Dug my nicest indianhead(1902), usually badly corroded that it's hard to read the date let alone see any details. I also got 2 wheats and some clad.

    silver from yesterday

    Went to my local park yesterday and found my first barber dime(1907). I also got a 1928 merc, a no date indian, and some clad The 5x8 coil is smokin hot. Some of my clad finds had rusty nails and bottle caps in the same hole, so it really seperates the junk.

    Two firsts today

    Went to my local park today and got a birthday wish. My first coin was an 1897 Barber Quarter( my first one ever), and two round balls, which are also firsts.

    Slow fishing today, not many hits

    I was out for a few hours today,but didn't come up with much. Managed to get 6 wheats, a crotal bell, and little clad.

    Was on our farm today. The house was built early 1900s. I have been over the yard several times with the 8.5x11 coil. I went over some of it today again with the 5x8 coil and pulled 1964 Canadian dime ,1944 wheat and a 16 guage Ranger shotgun shell top( don't know if it's anything special...

    Todays park finds

    I'm really starting to love the 5x8 coil. Ithink it still gets awesome depth. I may not switch back to the big coil unless I have a large field to cover. Didn't do to bad today for a 2hr hunt. Got an 1881 indian, amusement token, and some clad.

    getting new coil

    Well, with all the chatter about the 5x8 coil, I orderd one for my AT Pro on Wensday from Big Boys Hobbies(Thanks Bart). I just tracked it ,and it is suppose to be here in PA on Monday. About 6inches of snow where I live and a warm up on the way(mid 40's next week :wiggle:). Hopefully I can try...
