The New XP ICON & ICONIC??

I certainly hope they improve the coil clip. I couldnt believe this shattered in my hand yesterday. Seems as though XP is not very good at designing sturdy connectors. What pisses me off is the fact they are not covered under warranty !!!! Hopefully they will much improved the 3rd time...

Manticore owners: Do i need 1?

The right tool for the right job...Works land and sea. I was just floored when i saw a couple of guys using small coils on the beach. I thought they are missing so much coverage. I can definitely see the reason for the 9" in the water but wet sand, nahhhh..... Just wanted to find out if there...

Manticore owners: Do i need 1?

Yes, I realized less resistance in water. But here in NJ the Atlantic is too rough to get in the water. We just stroll the wet sand. I remember reading, way back when, that big coils are better at finding big things. Yes, most jewelry is small. I dig my fair share of foil pieces. In my 25...

Manticore owners: Do i need 1?

Why is that 9" better than the 11" ???? I saw a guy strolling down the beach with the 9. That's a lot of extra swinging for the beach. Inquiring minds want to know !!!! :) :) :) :) HH Donna(NJ

The New XP ICON & ICONIC??

Nice big numbers. I hope that remote locking system is much better. When I complained that the D2 locking system wore out. They told me it was NOT covered under warranty. Which I thought was crap. Hope the new one is better. HH Donna(NJ

Just curious about what your expectations are when considering to buy a metal detector, from both experienced and who just started detecting.

As with just about everything I buy, I always look for a build quality. My first detector was a Tesoro because it had a lifetime warranty. Figuring these machines will be used outside under all kinds of weather condition, warranty is of prime importance. Figuring if a company had a long...

Jumping back in after a few years hiatus

Nothing like getting rid of those wires. The next real joy would be the Deus 2. No wires at all unless you are going in deep in the water, which I dont. The Atlantic is too rough in NJ, so we just work the wet sand and the ripples as they come in. I have the 900 as a backup to my Deus 2...

Cashed In My Remaining Silver Rings This Morning

That's the difference between land hunting and water hunting. Way back when, when I first started hunting the ocean, silver rings didnt count because it was very easy to find and prevalent. I remember one day, I found a ring spill of 6. Girls must have taken them all off to play soccer or...
