    refurbished DFX, good deal?

    I can buy a refurbished DFX with factory warranty for $799. It sounds like a pretty good deal based on the limited research I've done. A friend of mine tells me that I should get a Garrett GTI 2500 instead. Any thoughts?

    What detector should I buy?

    I have a Bounty Hunter Sharpshooter II that has been doing a good job for me, but occasionally it stops working or gives false tones and signals so I know I'm missing a lot of stuff. I'm only interested in coins right now and I would like a detector that detects up to 12". Any recommendations?

    I'm always finding wells near old houses and I know it's probably too dangerous to even consider going into one, but there's got to be some good coins in them! Has anyone ever had any luck finding coins in them and if so how did you do it?
