up grading a three year old F75?

I have a three year old F75 and am wondering if this can be upgraded to be equal to the newer version out now and how much it costs? Will I see enough improvement to make it worthwhile? Thanks a lot. Ken

Got an almost key date barber

Decided to hunt a nearby 1914 school today. I dug the usual clad that showed at least the second bar for depth and left alto of surface stuff, except quarters, I'm hunting for older coins. First was a 1920 wheatie at 8", then comes along a 46 dime at about 5" and lastly was a 1903 O Barber at...

Found a way to avoid bottle caps, new and rusty ones

Went to a local fresh water beach today and decided to use the 2F tone mode . I used no notching so all the iron sounds were allowed in, was in de, and 80-90 sens. When ever I came across a signal, I would raise the coil until the signal started getting a little weak and then try to "milk" the...

    An observation on silver dimes

I have noticed when finding a silver dime the readings I get is higher than clad dimes. On clad dimes, I get a reading usually around 70-73 or lower if it's deep. On the silver dimes I have found the reading bounces from 70 to even up around 80, mostly though in the mid 70's. Has anyone else...

Question about Indian Heads and the F75

I found a 1902 today. It was about 5 inches down and gave a strong reading like a penny/dime. When I got it out on the ground and took another reading, it had a medium tone like a zinc and read 60 on the number scale. My question is, will an Indian head sound off like a penny/dime (high pitch)...

Did pretty well today with the F-75

Went to my parents 1956 home and took out some treasures. To my surprise, I found five Wheaties, and even three silver dimes, two 57's and a 52d. There have been many, many times when I have detected yards expecting to find a lot and have found little or nothing, and then to go in this 50 year...

How many have used the All Metal Motion Mode? I ..

used it today for the first time and I like it. You get rid of most all the snap, crackle, pop, and get the bonus of getting a little deeper as well. If I weren't getting an accurate number reading, I wouldn't use it, but the numbers do work in that mode. I had the sens @ 85-90, threshold at 0...

Getting a good signal and number from only one direction?

I'm new to the F75 and am wondering how often, when this occurs, do you find a coin? I found with some of the other Fishers, that if this occurred, that you stood a real good chance of digging iron, does this apply to the F75? I know I should just dig, but with the ground so hard now, I would...
