    By any chance, may you perhaps happen to know the value of such? How rare one may be, or if they’re more common than I assume?

    Coral or sponge?

    I’ve found this very recently & getting a proper ID would be spectacular, appreciate any response, in advanced. Found near Mississippi River, Illinois/Iowa area. Very porous & a smooth surface, with quarts protruding from the underside.

    I google lensed what I didn’t know was a geode, & did come up with the rugose coral. I’ve gotten over opening what i find & just got a bunch laying around. Last week I went to the creek & came across what I believe is a smokey quartz geode with pyrite?

    I’m trying to identify the specifics of my current finds, I’m sure I have agates although I’m not sure if several are fossilized or if they’re just regular agates. I’m quite new & wouldn’t mind someone enlightening me. Thx!!
