    EXCALIBUR DEPTH ???????

    Took out my new Excal II this weekend... Kinda disappointed in the depth, or lack of it! Tried several different settings including those recommended by CJC. Best I could get was 6". I was lead to believe it could find Quarters @ 17". I guess I'm wondering what I did wrong ? Charged the battery...

    V-3 depth question

    I agree with rcasio44, the "on the fly" depth reading is almost always off. The pin point mode is what you need to go by. I have found the analyze mode to be pretty accurate too. Also some foil will read 5" even when right on the surface. And if it reads a quarter @ 0" and you dig down an inch...

    Mike, Maybe it's the ground out here in Southern California, But I get plenty of depth with all the coils I use, with the 5 filter slow sweep technique. the D2, Super 12 and my 5.3, I have dug dimes at 6-7" with the 5.3 and a bullet at around 9" with the Super 12. I have heard alot of good...

    Hey Neil, I always hunt in 5, nice and slow. And only come up if I have to. But I was wondering what is the difference with the "High" setting, compared to just 5,7.5 or 10? Thanks, Steve

    EXcelerator S.E.F. Butterfly Search Coil

    I have the BIG one 15x12 and I like it at the beach, covers alot of ground and goes deep. Could not use it at the park, to much trash. I think the smaller one would do better there. at the beach it was very stable, did not false. I find that you can never have enough coils! Steve

    I WANT A BIGGER BAG!

    hi andreak77, I thought about doing that, but it's kind of a hassle. If the bags were about 2" higher and about 4" longer they would be perfect. I know that White's probably has a ton of these bags already made, so I don't expect they will change them. Just a suggestion. Happy Holidays, Steve

    Having trouble getting my Vision in the bag when my Super 12 coil is on, zipper is pushed to the limit. And with the Bigfoot, forget about it. Hoping whites will make a bigger storage bag with some interior pockets to keep xtra coils in check. My buddy cuts the rod down to make them fit. I guess...
