Simplex Ultra 99 tone deep targets

Thanks for your reply, I guess I'm a bit slow in posting about the Ultra and 99 tones, but if they aren't in production yet, maybe I could get a test unit. I would love to take a crack with it in different states and dirt. A video from somewhere in Europe doesn't help hunters in the states a...

Simplex Ultra 99 tone deep targets

I think that's the hardest test video I ever tried to watch! I do love the idea behind the Ultra, 99 tones is very appealing. Perhaps Dilek would consider sending me a test unit and give it a go on American soil, with a Texas accent . I'm not joking at all, I've been detecting and treasure...

    I ain't dead yet.

God Bless you both Jerry. I am in the same situation here . My wife has Leiomyosarcoma and the chemo totally failed. We are doing alternative treatments and believe we are winning a little at a time. Treasure hunting outings are rare and my job is here and support as is yours. All the best to...

    Wrong depth readings

Go to expert menu, arrow up to loop selection, left or right arrow to select your coil size. Pull the trigger 2 or 3 times to get into the search mode and you should be good to go. Good luck John London

    vdi numbers way off today

It sounds like you have un-checked the "normalize" box. Go to transmit frequency, scroll down to single frequency. In the middle colum you will see the normalize box and I'll bet it's not checked. Click on the box to check it and I'll bet your problem will be solved. good luck John London

    Tough hunt at old house

I found these goodies at a house built in 1909 yesterday. The coin is a 1897 Indian head cent and the bracelet is copper or brass. The ground was near perfect and minerals were not a problem. Ran the V3i at 12-85 and 75 with rec delay at 45. There just were not many finds at all, only a few...

Question d2. Is there a trick to

I personally don't use coil covers, they are more trouble than they're worth. In nearly 40 years of detecting, I have never worn through a coil. The 10" DD is tough as a boot, when you get the cover off, chunk it :0) jalon

    V3i Sensitivity Settings

Daddyflea, a crushed can is a big target to your coil and lowering your sensitivity will not necessarily eliminate them. Even if it did you would also lose most desirable targets as well. Run your RX gain as high as you can and maintain stability. If the V3i gets too chatty, just lower the gain...

    Lovely Ladies

The 5.3 is my go to coil in this moderate soil. I really would like to try a 6x8 SEF, but too stubborn to spend the $$ on a foreign built coil. 90% of the time it's the 5.3 and 7% the 9.50 and about 3% with DD coils when I'm prospecting. I may use the 10" at the same location Sunday and will...

    Lovely Ladies

I found these Sunday using a modified C & J program. Sensitivity= Gain 12 AM 75 disc 90 and rec. delay 55 and a 5.3 coil. Both were about 4.5" and 100 yards apart. the field is about 1/2 acre in size and trashy. Funny thing is we didn't find but 2 wheats. Now I guess I'll be forced to go back :0)

    Appropriate find for Easter Sunday

This was the best find of the day. Using V3i in modified C&J, 950 coil, Rx gain@15, disc 90,am 70. The cross is sterling and about 4" deep. everything else was common clad and a few nickels. What are the odds of finding a cross on this very special day? Sure does make one think. John London

    The snow finally melted

and by Sunday afternoon I was able to get into a project yard. The place dates from at least 1920 and maybe a bit older. A friend had worked it pretty hard for a couple of weeks and I was worried that he didn't leave me anything. Well, He left a couple of goodies. The ring is 10K with 2 small...
