    I have no idea what this is and would love to find out

    It seems to be either a coin or possibly a button. It is very thick and the back is completely rusted. I looked at it with a magnifying glass and the design appears to be two torches crisscrossed with a snake wrapped around the middle.

    New to the hobby

    I just recently purchased a Bounty Hunter for my boyfriend for father's day.We have found a few interesting things but we find more trash than anything. I don't know very much about metal detecting and definitely would like to learn more.Does anyone have any tips?
