Tot lot gives up a cool relic 1919 USMC pocket knife.

Hit several out of town parks today hoping to score big on the clad and find some good jewelry. Didnt happen. $2.32 in clad and a couple plated medallions. I got a deep signal and dug beneath the bark chips and was susprised when I dug up a pocket knife with the name Stuart Brown on 1 side and a...

A cool relic and digging up bones.

I acquired this old hub from an Indian artifact hunter that I like to talk and socialize w/ on the weekends. The hub was recovered from the Creek at Bentonville Civil War battlefield many years ago by Dr. Underwood a well known Archaeologist from this area. Im currently waiting for a phonecall...

    Sundays hunt.in no mans parks.

Hunted a couple parks today everybody else stays away from. Not sure if its got something to do with the words crypt killers painted on the buildings, hundreds of shards of glass from busted wine bottles, the razor blades or maybe just the neighborhood. A pitiful$1.34 plus a couple watch bezels...

I know what it is! :jump:

This walking stick I bought at a yard sale for 5 bucks. It is not native Indians but maybe better. A lot of research shows it is carved sharks vertebrae and considered scrimshaw. These were made by sailors during the period of 1830 to 1860 and sold at ports or given to relatives. It values at...

Captured a little pirates treasure trove today.

Went to a small sandlot park this morning expecting a couple pennies as Ive seen other detectors hitting it. I guess a little pirate didnt know about the old pirate w/ the green machine when he buried 6 quarters neatly stacked about 3 inches down. $2.11 total plus a cheap earring and some type...

    A typical treasure weekend.

Made 2 short hunts yesterday for just over a dollar in clad not pictured. Made another today in a camp site field for $2.75 a plated enameled ear ring and an old trunk lock plate. Nothing to really bragg about. So I hit the outdoor yardsale/ and or flea market. First stop. Paid $5 each for 3...

    Almost Eureka!!!

Made a quick 1 and 1/2 hour hunt in one of the campsite fields after work. The clads getting scattered and thinner. I went out in jewelry mode which is suicide in these fields because the pull tabs average between 200 to 300 for every nickel.. I did manage a nickel and got a solid hit dead...

    Big clad day.

Day off work so I decided to hit some parks. The first 2 were a little dissapointing giving up a couple bucks in clad. I found a small barkchip park that was new to me and apparently to detecting. 3 hours steady digging as my garret was singing a sweet tune. 5 hours hunting for my 1st SAC...

    Finally pulled rank today

Off to a campsite field after work today. A 1 and 1/2 hour hunt for 10 quarters 5 dimes and 10 pennies. $3.10 clad total. I guess i pulled rank to Junior Sheriff w/ this neat heavy cast pinback badge. Looks like an oldie. The partial diecast corvette was 8 inches down reading as a perfect...

3 hour park stroll nets some decent finds

This is a really old park thats been well hunted. I found my 3rd half dollar freshly lost in the sand by the swings. This is my first clad as the 1st 2 were silver. I found the dollar bill laying by close to where the half dollar was. Some poor kid. I dug 2 wheats which were 1940 and 46. $3.37...

    2nd day carnival field hunt.

These are neat fields to hunt. You get the old w/ the new. I hit on the buckle as a solid penny hit only one size bigger than a coin. Had to see and when I tried to remove the buckle from the hole I realized the belt was attached, Ever dug a hole 2 1/2 foot long 3 inches deep.Looks to be a toy...
