    Is this normal?

    Seems my 705 once in a while when I try to ground balance goes into some sort of oscillation, the tones sound like a pinball machine. The only way to stop it is to turn it off ,and sometimes when I turn it back on it is still doing it. I have done several factory resets and has not helped. I...

    Today's findings

    Went to a school yard for several hours and here are the results, along with a bunch of clads. The ring appears to be silver with gold inlays. Don't know what this coin is doing in a school play ground in Montana.

    Trashy area techniques.

    Yesterday 3 of us went to some old cabin areas where lots of nails and pieces if iron littered the landscape. Can you post the techniques you use to MD trashy areas to minimize digging.

    Found this.

    First time out with the 705 I found this among many coins and a silver ring. It is non magnetic but the Pro Pointer and the 705 went nuts, it was about 4 inches down.
