    V Big Foot??????

    I have read that he does have the V Bigfoot. The problem is getting the coil to work for the third frequency.     Headphone Power Level

    That's just too funny!!! It does help to have it turned on, but it is also nice to have it set for another frequency. That was one of the first things that I did along with changing the power level to 4...which work for me.

    Ground Balancing

    Same here...When I turn it on I squeeze the trigger twice to get in search mode...squeeze trigger and find a clean spot for balancing...Like Nugget I don't do the waist high thing! Also, If you have Autotrack on, it will rebalance as you hunt. Usually I have mine off and rebalance when I want to.

    That is true, if you have it set to autotrack. I do know some people that don't ground balance and let it autotrack in...maybe 10 sweeps. It depends on where i hunt. Trashy areas I turn it off and manually ground balance if I start to get weird (falsing) signals. If there is little trash I...

    How important is it to purchase coils optimised for the Vision?

    Most non V stamped coils will work on the V, you most likely just wont be able to run TX boost though. For me, I very rarely am able to use TX boost due to soil conditions, so it doesn't make much difference to me. I did however buy the V coils to go with my V, that way my DFX has its own set of...

    I have ran into this at one site that I went to. I lowered the RX and Disc and it balanced fine. I'm thinking that it was too hot for the environment. Try going back and see if a lower setting works...you can even lower it a lot and then raise it until it won't balance or you see falsing, then...

    1.2 version on V3......................

    Mine is at 1.1 and I really don't have any issues with the sound in the WHP. May send it in when the weather is bad...by then there may be something else that has a rev.

    Glad you put the ++++ at the end of 15 years...I didn't see them at first and was going to give you a bad time about the V being your last detector and that you would stop hunting in 15 years...at 67 :laugh: Glad that you don't have a time limit...Keep hunting as long as you can!!! :thumbup:

    Will the DX-1 probe work on the V3(the one that fits the DFX)

    Hmmm...I just transferred my DX-1 from the DFX to the V and mine seems to work fine. I have used it for about 8hours and have ran it without and with TX boost and do not get overload. Depth seems to be comparable to what I was getting with it on my DFX. So...just try it!!!! :thumbup:

    Bug Spray on my screen!

    Where can you find the replacement screen protectors? I checked the Whites website and wasn't able to locate them. Please post a link, if possible. I was also wondering if the protectors are polarized? My understanding is that it is difficult to see the V3 screen if you are wearing polarized...

    Spectra V3 Microprocessor Sales to US Blocked by ITC Order?

    That must be why they had to switch microprocessors...hence the 1.2 firmware revision! 1.1 and 1.3 had to do with sound/phasing/headphone issues and the 1.2 for "internal microprocessor change". I have to hand it to Whites for taking care of the issue quickly!!!
