    Getting frustrated. What to expect?

I know I am not very patient, but am I expecting too much? I just got back from my sixth outing and still nothing to speak of. I feel the places I am hunting (city park, old gathering hall, 2 old houses, dry creek and open fields) should be producing more than the $1.86 in modern coins I have...

    Public parks

    F5 Ground balance knob

I am brand new to metal detecting and to this forum, Glad I found you. So far this forum is the only good thing I have found. Just need more practice I guess. I was wondering about the ground balance knob on the F5. I know it turns indefinatly, but it also pushes down. is the push a function?
