    :confused: Anyone have those old headphone boosters laying around ? And fairly cheap plus working . They were pretty popular awhile back and I used them with my old white's detector. Let me know what you got . !!!!!!!

    here is a mod created with housing mounted white led ( sourced from cheap auto accesory - 12v ) , power is connected thru handle and is bridged to main board power. it is not connected to meter in anyway . Button assembly is replacement pad from WHITE'SPARTS.com (Keypad (Touch Pad) 358-0038)...

    This great little detector looks like a good choice for modifying. Perhaps modifying control box to accept coilchanges instead of hard wired one. Or even a manual ground balance.

    Seen circuit board from tracker it was small and did have very much to it . It was a light machine and felt flimsy , I thought coil was going to fly off. I could not get it to be very non noisy in yard. It did detect metal . We set up a simple bench test and our results as follows. Nickel 3-3...

    Not to throw shade on fellow detctorists , but I gotta ask this question. I know walmart sells these for cheap so do they work for the price or are they just cheepo models with lots of plastic. I seen time ranger with that led thing on top of box and led screen display seems over the top.

    Dixie metal detector Sovereign Mod

    Has anyone done this $ 85 dollar mod to theirs ( apparently All sovereigns can be done) they also sell New Gt with this already done. I am thinking it may be some receive ( Gain) tweak . Stating up to 3" deeper with standard loop . And we all know sov is already a deep machine .

    :coiltec: Sovereign Xs-2a with Wot coil and gold hunting ?

    What do you think of sovereign as a gold hunting detector ? I am using Wot coil for my beach hunting and know that Coiltech makes great minelab gold hunting coils. I think BBS technology would be a good choice for multi freq. Detecting like Eureka gold. And it's auto tracking for ground elimination.
