    M6 & nugget hunting

I know the M6 isn't a prospecting machine but I'm heading out to Colorado in a couple of weeks and was wondering if I would be wasting my time looking for nuggets while I was out there. I have a 5.3 & a 6x8 sef coil and will probably spend a couple of days in the hills.

    Whites on the Today show

They were searching the beach with a couple of white's detectors and found a nickel and some pull tabs, it was short but neat to see White's on the tube.

    Whites on the Today show

I was flipping through the channels yesterday morning when low and behold there was Matt Laur (?) and that Meridith chik searching the beach with a couple of White's detectors. I'm not an expert and couldn't read the boxes but they looked like MXT's. It was a short segment but I think all they...

    199 coins equal sore legs

We had a nice day here yesterday so I decided to hit a new park for a while with the M6 and 5.3 coil. It's not even really a park, just a small area in the middle of town with a gazebo maybe 80'x80'. I spent about 4 hours there and dug 199 coins and to many tabs and my legs felt it all day...

    Tried my 5.3 coil

I got out for a short hunt Saturday with my new 5.3 coil and was impressd. I went to a small town's small park, maybe an acre but it's where the town setsup it's venders for the 4th of July every year. Evedently no one hunts this park because I only covered about a third of it and found 9...

    Multi-metal day

I hit the beach and a 120 year old home site today for a few hours and found an assortment of metals. At the beach I found a small gold piece, and a nice heavy silver ring, at the homestead was the lead Indian (in not so great shape) and a brass tag that says "Indiana licensed chauffeur, expires...

    Found a Morgan

I recently bought a new detector (Whites M6) and have been devoting most of my time to it but today I thought I would get my Land Star out and take her for a walk around the yard. Now I have been over and over my yard with my Land Star in the past and It's hard to believe but I have never found...

    M6 beach setting

If I get some time this week I'm hoping to get to a fresh water beach. Is the beach setting on the M6 more for salt water or both. I didn't know if I should just lock the GB or use the beach setting. Dry sand use autotrac? Thanks.

    M6 finds

Hi All, I just posted my finds on the main detecting forum and thought I would share over here as well. I'm new to detecting this summer and already have my second detector the M6. I started off with a BH Land Star and really liked it but after reading about the MXT & M6 I just had to have one...

    New M6 user

I just bought a basically new M6 from Monte last week and finally got a little time on it the last couple of days. So far I like it allot, seems very sensitive and definitely loud. The site I was hunting is a pretty trashy park and I was about overwhelmed with all the tones at first but after...

    Just saying hello

Just purchased a used Landstar last week so of course I had to find a forum to go with it. This is my first detector and I've started reading some of the old post here to get a good idea of how it operates, so far it's been very helpful. I've been searching my yard (3 acres) and have been...
