    I have noticed several here buy Visions, sold them, and then went back to their F75 or Etrac's.

    If so, you must have a Super Vision. I tried it with a Vision yesterday, and it would only get one signal on the test.

    If you touch the quarters together, you will only get one signal with any detector. If you place the three quarters at three inches apart, a fast recovery detector will get you three separate signals even at a quick sweep speed.

    My Whites dealer in my home town is Radio Shack. They will never have a Vision in stock, unless you order one. Some dealers are like that.

    Also try it with a shot glass, Brett. Put the nail resting on top of the the shot glass, the coin underneath the glass. That would be the real world scenario in the treasure hunting field. Someone here already said the Vision failed on that test. But all detectors actually do except the old 100...

    The Compass 77B would pass this test easily, but it did not discriminate. The main problem today, with these old detectors, the depth has really gone to pot. Transistors and capacitors get old and weak.

    All machines on the market today will fail on this nail test, if you place the nail 3-4 inches above the coin. That is the real world scenario when you are hunting. I use three quarters, three inches a part, and quickly sweep the coil across. How many hits do you get? Very few detectors out...

    I only asked a question on meteorites. The question was not deleted, but the answer by a Whites dealer was. Why? Dunno. Did the Whites dealer give me a wrong answer? No explanation at all. Now I don't know what to do on buying a Vision.
