Group hunt with NH Bob today...

Hi folks! Ahh the joys and the pressures of taking dear friends to a site of your own! Originally, we were to hunt a set of isolated cellar holes (which would have provided some welcome relief on a day like today), but Bob put forth a convincing set of reasons why not to go there, so that's...

This is what I get for listening to NHBob's advice...

Bob has been hounding me, pounding into my head how I have to listen to those tones in All Metal mode with my new Explorer Se Pro. Bob's advice and constant lecturing and meddling with my machine. I think I get it now. Saw Bob this morning, and we joked about him still having a 3 Cent piece...

[attachment 66578 8-26-2007group.JPG][attachment 66577 hunting011.JPG][attachment 66576 1877Dime.JPG]Amongst today's items, an unidentifiable copper coin (late 1700's, early 1800's), a crotal bell, and my favorite for today, an 1877 Dime.

    Some NH relics and silver...

Good hunt today after work, thanks to my friend and hunting partner, RonNH, who invited me to hunt the site of a mid-1700's fort. Today's find includes an 1801 Large cent, two ornate identical buttons (found 200ft apart), a flat button (probably late 1700's, two buckles, and a 1910 dime...

More (old, and even older) silver from NH

Found the 1907 Half Dollar at one site in the morning, and the 1786 Real at another in the afternoon. Coins and relics are as they were dug, not cleaned yet. Thank you for looking, and happy hunting!

    More silver from NH

Ladies and gents... I finally broke the 1800's barrier! Found the 1907 Half Dollar at one site in the morning, and the 1786 Real at another one in the afternoon. The coins are as they were dug, not cleaned yet. Thank you for looking, and happy hunting!

In NH, my best hunt to date!

Civil War button, buckles, relics, and silver to boot! I'd been averaging one large cent per hunt, and this time I was hoping for another... I got it! The silver was unexpected, and the Morgan nearly made me wet my pants! Need some ID help with the end-piece of strap/belt that reads "HAMILTON"...

    My best hunt ever...

Hunted with the GTI 2500 in coin mode all day, with the stock coil. 4 1/2 hours work. I've developed an infatuation with Large Cents, and sure enough, out popped one about an hour and half into the hunt. The rest was a rollercoaster ride... I will post pics of the finds once they are cleaned...

Two hours' hunt - A little variety

Large Cent could be '01' 04, or '07. Ring looks more modern, probably early 1900's. Musket ball (estimated mid to late 1700's) Thanks for looking. HH

Thanks to RonNH and NHBob for today!!!

Today was a great day, and just wanted some of your fellow Minelab users to know that it was because of your generosity that I dug what I did today! Well, maybe I wasn't using a Minelab like you (you'll have to check the Garrett forum for the results), but I think what's important is the...
