Get A Free Set Of CS-3 Wireless Headphones If You Purchase A Vortex (this week only)

I loved the MS-3 headphones on my Apex, and now my Vortex. Especially because my AT-ProPointer also links to them, so I don't have to take them off when switching to the carrot. My understanding is that the CS-3 is the same as the MS-3, except that it's on-the-ear rather than over-the-ear...

    Axiom

Thanks, I was just curious. I was thinking that where the small stuff is, there ought to be some bigger pieces nearby (up the hill?, upstream?) that hadn't washed into the stream yet. Anyway, I had also heard such great reports about the Axiom when it first came out, I was just wondering if...

    Axiom

Hey John, I’m curious if you’ve tried the Axiom in your gold area. I know it wouldn’t pick up that flour gold you seem to get, but I have to wonder if there aren’t any small nuggets in the vacinity

Here's Two More Hunts Worth.....Love That 6" x 11" Coil. It's Staying Put On The Shaft.

Unfortunately, they’re not compatible with each other. The AT, the Apex, and the Vortex each have coils with the same names but they have different connectors and internal characteristics. If you decide to get a vortex you might want to sell the at with the 6x11 and get a new 6x11 with the...

A Couple Of Search Coils Are Now Available For The Vortex Line Of Garrett Metal Detectors

Having used all the corresponding coils on the Apex, I found myself using the 5x8 most often at my trashy sites. I used the Viper with good effect at the beach, though. I found myself rarely using the Reaper - only on those occasions where there was little trash.

    JUST MY THOUGHTS 😉

You may wish to consider the Vortex. Being from the Garrett line, I would imagine that you'd find certain features familiar, plus it's much lighter in weight and waterproof if that ever becomes a consideration. Just a thought.... Good luck with whatever direction you go in.

I Dug My First Silver Coin With The Vortex Today

All modern machines can "see" coins at 18-20 cm (except some have difficulty in highly mineralized soil) - the better machines will be more able to identify those targets. From what I gather from my limited experience with my Vortex and what other owners have said, the Vortex is in the "better"...

    Ace 300 coil question

MuddyMo, While I don't disagree with what you said, I thought I'd expound a little. Both the OP's machine (the Ace 350) and mine have minimal things you can set. Going to a machine that has tons of things to set, regardless of what they call those things, is a large part of the transition...

    Ace 300 coil question

There are a lot of capable machines out there in the $250-600 range. That having been said, I think you may wish consider a Vortex. It's a capable machine, but most importantly, I suspect that the learning curve on the Vortex will be much better than on other brand machines, as you're coming...

    Vortex starting to ship

Gee, oldkoot, I am terribly sorry to hear about your wife. She and you will be in my prayers. My father just passed away two weeks ago (at 93!), after spending the past two years in a nursing home because of his dementia. Those last two years were difficult for both him and me. So yeah, I’m...

    Where's the Mighty Vortex at?

They did release the Axiom a little less than 2 years ago. Very capable machine from what I understand, but I'm not a gold field hunter. I suspect that the Vortex is more capable than most people are expecting. We'll find out one way or another soon enough. I for one have ordered one.

Need to clarify information on Garretts

The correct answer is: it depends. It depends on what your friends' hunting goals and habits are/will be. I own an Apex and like it very much. It's fairly lightweight and very capable. My only real beef with it is that it's not fully waterproof which is a problem for me on those occasions...

Here's What Was Posted On The Garrett Facebook Page Last Week "LOOKING GOOD"

Yet, in comparison, Garrett is widely regarded as having the best customer service in the industry. I did something stupid with my brand new Apex - I was hunting on the beach and dropped it in seawater. Of course, that was the end of it. So I called Garrett hoping that I could just buy...
