Two Hour Spin with the AQ

This is so ironic. After reading your post, I went over to another forum to check messages and one of my buddies made a post entitled "I got robbed!". He also found a gorgeous looking tennis bracelet loaded with "diamonds". He saw 925 stamped on the back and thought he saw what looked like gold...

Two Hour Spin with the AQ

Nice Jeff! I bet your blood pressure rose a few points when you saw that tennis bracelet. And, or course, it wouldn't have been a proper PI hunt without finding the obligatory bobby pin, lol.

Whoa, this new Metal Detecting Research Tool could be a Game Changer

Might just be a glitch, it's a brand-new site so I'm sure they'll be having to deal with new site hiccups.

    Wat come around, goes around....

Those were some great hunts Donna, beautiful finds. That cross is stunning and the more I look at it, the more I get the feeling that it's very special. You should wear that cross when you go to get your knee replacement.

Whoa, this new Metal Detecting Research Tool could be a Game Changer

I just stumbled on a recent video from Merrill of Metal Detecting NYC entitled “Beach Metal Detecting Has Changed Forever: Gold & Treasure In 2026”. I was curious to hear what was changing for us this year, and Merrill didn’t disappoint. He announced a new website research tool for detectorists...

    Biggest ring I ever found.....Twice !!!!!

Hey Donna, I mentioned these guys in my previous post, but I found the video you can watch and hear their stories about objects dropped in the ocean moving for yourself. I'm pasting a link for a Treasure Talk weekly treasure hunting report video. Mark Paddack was the representative for DE, MD, &...

    Biggest ring I ever found.....Twice !!!!!

10K Gold. 10 miles sounded far to me, but I was able to prove that it could be done. During an episode of Treasure Talk, Mark Padduck shared his story about a guy that had just lost his ABC ring at the O.C. Inlet. Mark went out to look for the ring, based on where the man said he lost it, but...

    Biggest ring I ever found.....Twice !!!!!

Great find & story Donna. MUCHO respect to you for tracking down the owner & setting up the return!! I found a girl's 2012 HS ring at the end of July in 2012, so she had recently lost it. Her name was engraved so I contacted the school, and they reached out to her. A couple days later, her mom...

    Looking To Buy Scoop

TVR, thanks for reminding me about the back of the scoop. I forgot to mention to moose57 that in the 3rd pic, the one showing the SS tip, he'll be able to see at the back of the scoop that I've attached 4 magnets, which he may or may not want to do. Moose, I attached those magnets to the back...

    Looking To Buy Scoop

Oh boy Moose, get ready for a lot of different opinions, lol. There's no other topic on all of the forums that generates more debate, arguments, recommendations, etc. But I'll be happy to give you mine. You didn't mention your budget, but I'm concentrating of my recommendation based on the type...

Waterproof Coil Design for lowest resistance underwater

Sounds like you might need to feed it some more gold to get its weight back up, lol.

Waterproof Coil Design for lowest resistance underwater

LOL, you reminded me of when I bought an AT Pro when they first came out, that detector just looked so cool to my eyes. But since 69', I've always been a twist the knobs, simple is better kinda guy. So, the AT Pro was my first "waterproof" and digital detector with a screen that included depth...

Waterproof Coil Design for lowest resistance underwater

Man Mark, I think over the last dozen or so years, there hasn't been a coil that I've heard so many great things about than that 9" coil. Recently, I watched a video test of that 9" coil, compared against the Manti's 11" & 15" coils, and I think an 8" coil as well. What blew my mind was how...

New Nokta Detectors for Beach Hunters?

Would be cool if they could combine a Manticore on the IB side with a PI like the AQ or TDI Pro. That would be quite the engineering feat, and probably, on the more uber expensive side of the equation.

New Nokta Detectors for Beach Hunters?

I was thinking the same thing, like if the PI side is deeper than the IB side, then the PI could hit on a deep target that's just a bit deeper than IB can detect, so it wouldn't be able to identify the target that it doesn't know is there. Same thing when over black sand or under saltwater...
