Picked up some more this week...

Went out and dug up some more this week (4 hunts) 18k 3.4g bracelet, 14k 10g chain, 10k 6g ring with stone?, and I think my largest class 10k ring at 18g. Researching the owner now... the chains were right on the surface with a barely audible indicator.. looked down and could eyeball gold...

    Couple more today...

Went to my favorite Sunday hunt site... Have to get there by boat.... went when it was drizzling and got chased out of the water by lightning that turned into a full on storm. The boat captain came back early to pick take me home. Just about to leave and the storm passed just as fast as it came...

    Back swinging..

Been a while since I had a chance to get out. So I hit the tropical beaches hard for 3 days straight last week... locals told me there was a regular guy hunting the same area so I only searched the reef on the outskirts and it paid off. Two gold the first day. 14 & 10k, One 14k the second day...

Should Hookah divers be certified.... YES

Ok yes I am going to do this... Open up this debate.... debate is the wrong word as it is not really up for debate.... You are a fool if you Hookah dive without proper training.. END of story. I answered a post regarding what certification is recommended SSI or PADI... it was quickly answered...

    Second ring from Cozumel

Picked up my second ring in Cozumel. 7gr 14k. Big storm came in and washed the sand away off the shoreline to the limestone bottom. Picked this one up hunting the cracks in the reef knee deep. Hard digging but worth it.

    3 month drought ended.... finally

After my banner 7 ring hunt I finally ended my 3 month drought.... not for the lack of trying... must have done 20+ hunts without any gold.... talk about feeling mortal. (just kidding). I am backpacking on holidays.. in Cozumel right now and found a remote resort that has a private diver who...

    Checking out a old goldmine

Went to explore an old goldmine site along the shores of a local lake. To my surprise right along the shoreline I found this green disc. Turns out to be a brass mfg serial number plate for a ore car from the late 1800"s. I recalled seeing an ore car in the city park telling the history of this...

    Nice little engagement ring.

Been a long while since I found anything worth posting. I liked this one. Found this one in Nassau on a public beach with the waves pulling the sand down into the ocean leaving a deeper spot in the sand to search. I measure the stone to be between 5 & 6 millimeters. 14k band. :)

Panama City, Panama. If you like old bullets ;)

Spent a few days in Casco Viejo Panama. This place has a 16' tide that goes out hundreds of yards as shown in the first two time-lap photos. Ran out with my detector to the far sandbank and picked up about 20 bullets, mostly musket balls. Also picked up 3 silver rings with some stones in the...

    Finally Panama gold

Finally picked up some gold in Panama. Beautiful little beach by Bocas. It is 18k and my best guess is about 3 grams. Lots of coins here, nobody with a detector in these areas.
