    Where did all the metal detectors go.

    I believe you're right. Been detecting 65 yrs and the depth is about the same last 10 or 15 yrs. The only detectors that are deep (to me ) is the nexus detectors and the see thru is great. Seems the detectors from other countries are better depth and prices are more reasonable hate the China...
